"Stop, It's Manager Time!"
For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Juliana Attard. I started working at Shift Digital in January 2017 as a Digital Consultant. The digital marketing world was new to me at the time. With great leadership, I learned SO much. I became the Chat SME (or subject matter expert) for the team after six months and became a Senior Digital Consultant (now Digital Consultant II!) around my year and a half mark. After a year and a half with one team, it started to feel like I was ready for a new challenge. I knew I loved helping others and was interested in seeing the behind-the-scenes of how launching a new program worked. Good timing was on my side because Shift acquired a new business around that time and I was eager to learn more about it. After applying and interviewing for that program’s Team Coordinator (aka manager) position, I received word that they wanted to move forward with me in that position. Eventually, my co-worker, Angela, and I launched the program back in 2018. It has been so rewarding watching the program grow throughout the years. Initially, we started with a small team that handled a smaller workload, but our team has quickly grown to three times the size. Managing has challenged me in many positive ways. My favorite part has been watching everyone on our team grow within the company. Personally, since being on this new team, I have been promoted to Team Lead and currently am a Senior Team Lead.
You may also find me planning and executing our Dealer Support Manager outings! We decided to start manager events for an opportunity to get together, share ideas, and get to know one another outside of the office. The first manager's outing was at Blakes Cider Mill last fall. All the managers enjoyed some dinner, beers, cider, and donuts. We arranged a party bus to take us to and from Blake’s. A few months ago, we had another outing at The Hub Stadium in Auburn Hills. At The Hub, we did ax throwing, played virtual golf, fowled, ate, and drank. Overall, these types of outings have been shown to build unity with the different program team managers at Shift Digital.
